ABOUT US: The San Francisco World Spirits Competition is the first competition of its kind to be held in the United States. Director Anthony Dias Blue and Chief Judge F. Paul Pacult, the noted spirits journalist, have assembled a blue ribbon panel of celebrated spirits experts. In 2008 these judges tasted 847 spirits from 63 countries.
The San Francisco International Wine Competition is the largest and most prestigious wine competition in the United States. In 2008 4,250 wines were entered from 27 states and 21 nations. Founded in 1981 by the State of California and privatized in 1999, the SF International Wine Competition is directed by James Beard Award Winner and Editor-in-Chief of The Tasting Panel Magazine, Anthony Dias Blue. It owes its prominence to masterful organization and an outstanding panel of judges.
The Tasting Panel Magazine is the national trade publication for the beverage industry which has revolutionized yesterday's stodgy trade magazine. Glossy, fresh and a great read, The Tasting Panel Magazine is on the cutting edge of wine, beer and spirits branding. Editor-in-Chief Anthony Dias Blue's international reputation as an authority adds luster to informative, "edu-tainment" reports on food, beverages and the people behind the scenes - who's who and who's drinking (and eating) what. |
